KAPLAN, LA—OCTOBER 24, 2020—AQHA Racing Champion and first-crop sire Moonin The Eagle got his first stakes winner on Saturday when Wrs Moonin Thewagon won the $132,560 Governors Stakes at Indiana Grand.

Under jockey Samuel Mendez, Wrs Moonin Thewagon was a one-length winner over On A New Note for owner-breeders Williams Racing Stables, Inc. Trainer Randy Smith saddled the Kentucky-bred gelding out of Wrs Quick Wagon by Pyc Paint Your Wagon. He earned $72,908 for the victory.

The win could push Moonin The Eagle to the #3 spot on the First-Crop Leading Sires of Money Earners list next week.
